As an alternative, follow the steps below

1. Tap on Phone app.
2. Tap on More Options (three dots) then go to Settings.
3. Tap on Block numbers.
4. Toggle Block unknown callers on or off.

Also, when you get a new phone call from a unknown number, some of them are classed as spam callers and tells you under the number. Sometimes this depends on provider/country.

Phone app > Settings > Block numbers > Block spam and spam calls

There's inbuilt functionality that scrappy mentions, that's what I use.
Also you might want to consider registering your number with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). Won't stop auto diallers but can help in getting your number off company lists.

In my opinion try this it's free and it tells me about spam calls been using it since s7, use the basic feature, no need to pay works brilliantly
