I've had my phone for less than 2 months and the screen has began to pop off. It also lags despite having less than half it's space occupied, and a maximum ram usage of 60% at a time

I have this same issue! Battery was draining quickly and randomly. Back of phone is now swollen. I need to use the phone for work (I'm waiting for a replacement that is helpfully delayed). Given this is happening to a few of us, is this not a fault with the phone??

My S22 Ultra has battery swelling as well and I have no phone access currently. What can be done to help if outside warranty?

Hi @jillasp and @UpsetChick , (and anyone else experiencing this),
Whether within or outside of the warranty period if this is happening it's always best to get in touch with your local Samsung Support (https://www.samsung.com/uk/function/ipredirection/ipredirectionLocalList/ ) ASAP to get your device inspected.
If you still have the device in question, we can escalate to our dedicated colleagues to arrange that and who'll provide support to you during the investigation. As AndrewL posted above, please send us a PM with your details via our Sam_UK account, and we'll forward it on to our colleagues.

I had this S22 for about 2.5 years and noticed the back was swelling. When I got the phone they sent an exact duplicate so I figured I would just switch to that one. Unfortunately after I opened the box I found the exact same issue. This box had been in our dry basement storage the whole time. It had never been even taken out of the box. Seems like a factory defect issue. How could the exact same thing happen to two phones, one used and the other brand new?

Hi @Stevegotl Welcome to the Samsung Community 😀
Lithium Batteries certainly can swell if left for long time uncharged. As indicated this not good practice ,how they are stored can also have an impact .
For Health/Safety Reasons certainly do not use,you would need to get in touch with Support.

Hi, @Stevegotl. I'm sorry to learn about the unusual issue you've encountered with your S22. I noticed you'd started a new thread, so I merged that with this existing thread, as it keeps the topic more streamlined.
Further to what you've already been advised, I recommend having a look at the suggestions provided earlier in this thread by @AntS and @AndrewL.
I trust that this will help steer you in the best direction.
