I foolishly allowed the update to 6.1 on S21. Now I cannot make or receive phone calls. I got a message from network provider about settings update, then the update, but after I switched back to the instructional message about the update, the settings update disappeared entirely. I now have a phone which cannot perorm its primary purpose: to make or receive phone calls.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Don't accept any updates unless you have good reason to. Caveat emptor.

Factory reset. I am thinking I may have to do that, after backing up all photos, contacts, messages, etc. Total PITA. Don't install updates.

This message with the update said it could not be uninstalled. The only option I can think of would be a factory reset, upon which you will lose all data (contacts, messages, photos, etc., so would have to back up all of that, and restore after the reset.

I contacted my network provider (Lebara), who provided instructions to resolve this problem. IIRC, these were
- Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset mobile network settings > Reset settings;
- Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile neworks > Network operators;
- Turn off Select automatically;
- Wait for list of operators to appear, and select yours (in my case "Lebara (4G)");
- Shut down and restart phone.
Hope this helps anyone with the same problem.

I read quite a few reports it is bricking the phones and causing different issues, I am looking for some procedure to cancel but have not found anything.

As from what I read on multiple places here and Reddit answer is no. Today, I spent quite some time without luck, searching method how to remove/cancel update as notification is popping up, and I am afraid it will just install it on its own during night like it did last time, although I have not setup schedule install.
I tried Samsung contact/message but it seems that option does not work either, it seems Samsung made deliberately complicated to ask them for help.
So, if anyone has any clue how to stop/cancel update help is appreciated.
