Alarm not ringing when phone on mute

Hi All - my alam always worked when phone on mute or vibrate by the bed. Since last phone update it stopped working. Or better it just vibrates which is pointless. Have checked all the settings and they are fine. Please help. Thank you.

Instead of muting I just turn the notification bar down to stop the annoying notifications sound at night.

You can check your 'do not disturb ' settings

Also Just restart your phone sometimes a simple restart can do wonders
