I've factory reset my phone after the June update Decided to take this big step after all the updates and software changes that have been made by Samsung

Now I've finally got the phone l wanted. l reset so that it was a blank phone, there were no apps reinstalled. The phone was like brand new.

Now after reloading my most used apps...staying away from apps i dont really use....it's fast, responsive and feels like a premium phone..at last..and as for the battery..this is the one thing l wanted to improve. I reset on the 8th June and after reloaded my apps and setting up my phone, which has meant alot of screen time, l've only charged charged once. If l go to device care now on June 1 0th l get the message essage "Learning usage pattern". l think this what was suppose to happen when l purchased the phone!?

What do you think about this?
Does this convince you to factory reset?

A factory reset is a bit of a last resort.
But whatever bugs still persist, they will be removed with the reset.
My S22 Ultra has been great and glad you are getting the experience you should have had to start with

I also try to avoid factory reset if can help it. And I think I only resorted to it with Samsung Omnia years and years ago😎🤔

That said I can certainly see that it can make a positive difference

I always restart the phone after updates, works for me. I'd find a full reset a pain in the a**e as I never restore from backups.

I can't remember ever having to do a factory reset on any of my phones over the years ( and I've had an awful lot) so I guess I must just be lucky not to have had to do this!

I don't think I had to do a factory reset but as I am a bit of a phone geek I enjoy the challenge and love how good my phone is once I've done the factory reset.

Also being a phone geek I experiment with different apps and customise my phone so it's nice to take it back to original settings after a play!

It is a pain but I enjoy the challenge. I didn't restore any apps this time so it takes a little time rebuilding my phone. But I love how it feels after a reset.

Don't get me wrong the phone was fast when I got it without any issues others were having, but after all the software updates we've received I just wanted to see what my phone was like after a reset. Without restoring any apps, just rebuilding my phone myself. I'm glad I did.

After a software update I typically clear the phone's system cache partition files, especially after a large update.

A factory reset is a last resort in my troubleshooting steps.

However I'm glad this has worked out in your particular case @smg1  👍

Whar method do you use to clear the phones system cache partition? Do you have to plug something into the charging port?
