Hello @Bluchevell and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

You could take a look in your Home Broadband Router settings as it'll show which devices are paired up ,and what ghz it's on if that's what you mean.

For example my Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra is on 5Ghz.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Hello @BandOfBrothers and thank you for welcoming me!
I'm really simple when it comes to tech lol! So let me ask, my broadband router is what gives me Internet and WiFi at home, right? How do I get into the settings?

It depends on what router you have.

So for example I have the BT Smart Home Hub ²

I log into my router via my url browser and look in My Devices and it shows my phone on the 5Ghz connection.

Or long press on your WiFi icon in your pull down control panel ,and tap on your router name your connected to.

Press on the Cog next to the name and one of the options is Manage Router.

That shouod take you to your Home Router page.

If you get stuck the Google Search is your friend 😉

For someone who is not tech savvy, I ask the question "why do you need to know"?

If your WiFi is working fine.......

If your broadband provider has an app, you may be able to see on there.

For example I use Vodafone Full Fibre 500mbs and I have the Vodafone Broadband App.

I go into the app.
Click on devices
Click on the device I want to interrogate

Hey presto, tells me I'm currently on 5ghz.

FYI 5ghz usually better for speed, 2.4ghz goes through walls better.

But if your broadband works fine and you get what you need from it, don't get bogged down by which waves you are on.

Bare in mind if you have smart plugs or light bulbs then they usually need 2.4GHz to work. So my BT home hub is set with both 2.4 and 5GHz on. My phone connects to the 5GHz automatically.

People get so worked up about connecting 5ghz or 2.4ghz

2.4ghz is more than most people need

I don't care about which waves, I'm trying to set up a camera and it only works on 2Ghz WiFi OK
