@S786: Samsung Health does run in the background, but you should find that it doesn't affect your battery life too dramatically. You can always monitor this by heading to Settings > Battery and Device Care > Battery, and tap on the usage graph to find a breakdown of the apps and features that have used the most battery. If you would like to stop background activity, tap on the app at this stage, select 'Limit Usage' at the bottom of the screen, and place it into the Sleeping or Deep Sleeping apps section.
