I recently got a new Galaxy S21 FE and it’s a nice phone, however the touchscreen sensitivity is giving me a lot of trouble. I’ve never used a Samsung smartphone before, so I don’t know if this is a common problem with this brand - it certainly isn’t with the other smartphone brands I own.
It seems that the touchscreen on this phone is simply too sensitive, registering as input a lot of touches that aren’t meant to be input.
Whenever I’m scrolling through pages the phone opens links or other pages just because I scrolled or stopped on them, or when I lift my finger the phone often registers a small movement in the opposite direction, moving the page a few paragraphs back. What is most frustrating, however, is the use of navigation gestures. By swiping on the edge of the screen, the phone registers the individual touches first and then the gesture, consequently performing unwanted actions on whatever area of the screen the swipe is performed on. It’s especially annoying and noticeable when using messaging apps, as the phone is always trying to record voicemails (the command is in that area) when I really just want to swipe back.
I’ve tried changing every possible setting (including “accidental touch protection” and “touch sensitivity”) but the problem still exists, whether using the phone at 60hz or 120hz or even in safe mode. Even removing or using a screen protector or glass on the screen doesn’t improve the situation.
Using the smartphone is getting really frustrating, and since I can’t return it, I was wondering if other owners have had similar issues and if there was a way I don’t know of to fix them. I actually think that simply adding a function to adjust the touch sensitivity might be a good option.
Thanks to anyone who will respond.

Ciao @morck80,
bentornato in Community! 🤝
