That's not good at all @billben100 🤔
Which update did you last complete on your phone ?
Of your using a 3rd party launcher suchbas Nova Prime or Goodlock or theme then disable them to see if that helps.
If your using a Vpn or security app or battery monitering app then disable them and then see what hapens.
A few troubleshooting tips you could try are >
- Make sure all your apps on the Playstore and Galaxy Store are up to date.
- Clear the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section. This does not delete any of your own information. This is achieved via > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.
- Use Safe Mode > Safe Mode > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict.
- There is a diagnostic tool in your Samsung Members app that you can run.
- A Samsung Service Centre can check put your phone.
If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care. 😎
