Not able to connect bluetooth device for whatsapp calls

I recently purchased S21 FE 5G SD888 version. Bluetooth doesn't connect on WhatsApp automatically when I am already on call and connect my earbuds(oneplus z2). Anyone else facing the issue? Its only happening during app calling. Network calls works perfectly.

I have already tried cache clearing, resetting the network settings, allowing nearby device permission for whatsapp. Nothing seems to work. Kindly help

@akash8: Please try heading to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth > On > Tap the cog to the right of your earbuds > Audio, and toggle this option on. Let me know if this helps.

Have you tried a bixby routine to overcome this?

Both the options get toggled on as soon as I connect my Bluetooth. Issue is arising when Bluetooth isn't connected and I pick up the whatsapp call and during the call I want to connect the Bluetooth device.
