I own a NEW Galaxy S21. When I take a selfie from messenger's built-in camera app, the photo seems blurry and the difference is visible before I press the shutter button and after(the preview and final photo are very very different), before I even send the photo to the chat. I've tried clearing cache, data and uninstalling to no avail. Does anyone else have that issue? A colleague, has the exact same Phone and she has never encountered such a problem.

I also have a z flip 4 and I've been searching for a solution for a couple months with no luck. It's only in fb messenger, and only on the front camera in either normal or selfie mode. If I use the rear camera it's fine, or put an effect on the front camera it's fine, but otherwise the pic looks perfect in real time, but as soon as you snap the pic and it goes to the preview screen, it's blurred. I've un and reinstalled, cleared data and cache. No luck at all. Anyone?

Hey Nixa! We've been trying to find the answer and my friend and I just kinda got used to it, to be honest.. Lol. Kinda a hassle when we'd like to take quick selfies and we have to switch apps but sometimes just too lazy to switch between apps so photos are just blurred. ☹️ We were hoping software updates will fix it or messenger updates but nah.

I have the new S23 Ultra and having the same issue. Preview looks nice and sharp, take the picture and it visibly goes blurry. When I cancel...for a split second I can see what the picture SHOULD look like.

My new s23 ultra is doing this as well. Really annoying considering the amount the phone costs.... has anyone else found a solution yet?

I've seen numerous reports it'll be fixed with an update this month (July)

I have just got the new S24 ultra and have this issue with messenger selfies only too. I had the S21 ultra previously and did not have this issue. So looks like the issue is back again.
