Wallpaper keeps changing

After the latest update, my wallpaper seems to revert to a default background.

I've checked to make sure dynamic is disabled, it is. I'm using the app "walloop engine" and made sure it doesn't go to sleep. 

Happens at random.

Try  > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too. 

Hopefully that will help.

If not try Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict.

I have this. I don't use a separate wallpaper app just the Samsung one. And after Samsung do updates every other update on my phone removes my background so I have to go through my album to re aply them. Not a major issue just annoying
