My phone hot

Please what could I do to avoid my phone from getting hot.

First consider having a great back cover with warmth feature
You should as well consider updating all your applications
And lastly, check for used background apps and disable them

When does the phone get hot?
Is it on charge or during using any apps?
Does it stay hot all the time?
How I'd the battery life?

Definitely update all the software and apps.
Also, look in battery and device care to see if anything is using the battery more than it should
Be worth Wiping the Partition Cache on the phone

Sometimes just restarting the phone once a week can help with keeping it running smoothly

@Donald20  In addition just to mention that the phone will heat up  to varying degrees when charging and using power intensive applications , downloading large files ,using Mobile Hotspot/Tethering and  when you have large amounts of Data for syncing.  Usually it is not too much to worry about but on occasions may need a little bit of time to cool down.

I would say that if possible turn off some connections if you are not using them and best to ensure Brightness is not constantly at maximum.

Don't use max brightness. Keep processor intensive apps to a minimum, don't fast charge don't use phone while charging, keep out of direct sunlight and that's about it now.
