May I assume you've made sure all your apps are up to date in your Playstore apps and in the Samsung Galaxy Store.
Go into your settings and Battery and Device Care and optimise.
Sometimes after an update if the phone is misbehaving @Kat_D a good generic troubleshooting tip is to clear the phone's system cache files.
This link explains how to go about this and no saved personal information is lost this way.

A last resort would be a back up and factory reset.
