All notifications from this app are blocked

I have downloaded an app called Mezurio which won't function without notifications.  However the app does not appear under Notifications in Settings.  When I choose "all system apps" it does then show, but won't allow me to switch on notifications - it stays greyed out and gives the message in the subject title above.

I have the latest Android software and the app is the current version.  I have rebooted the phone and uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

Has anyone any bright ideas, please?

Hmm, Clash Royale's latest version (33314033) may have fixed this. After the update, running the app the phone asked me whether this app is allowed to show notifications. Also Notifications have reappeared in the App options suddenly.

This seems to have fixed it for me as well, for Clash Royale.

Update to mine- I emailed the developer and they said they'd look into it, at the end of the day there was an update to the app, and when i opened it it asked again about notifications, and it works. So email the developer, they need to do something on their end about the 'permission thing for Android 13'

Overnight I have the same problem with Sure Petcare app. I've logged a ticket with them as well. Can't toggle to unblock notifications in the App notifications detail screen (but can in list view... but doesn't stay on and has no effect). Cleared cache. Updated phone. Restarted. No joy. Wonder if there is some layer of protection thinking it is spam or something.

I've had exactly these symptoms, also with the Sure Petcare app since yesterday

now I've seen this thread and @Wotfudboy 's post I will also raise it with Sure Pet

I'm also having the same issue for the last couple of days with the Sure Petcare app. Actually going into the app it's possible to see each pet's activity so the app is working completely fine minus the notifications.

In notification settings it says both no permissions allowed and no permissions denied, but there is no option to toggle anything for either of those.

In permissions manager the app doesn't show, unless you select show system apps. When doing this it's possible to untoggle the no-notifications icon, although it resets after a couple of seconds.

Like others, have tried all the obvious steps of rebooting, clearing cache, uninstalling etc
