Reset to factory settings

I've just got a new phone,  and I've tried to restore my old phone to factory settings so I can sell it. It won't let me does this. Its asking for my password and keeps saying incorrect when it isn't.

Hi I had the same issue just before selling my S10, it will accept the password soon, turn the phone off & on & try again.
