The camera has disappeared from both my lock and home screens.  It has been replaced on the home screen by the app widget.  

How do I get the camera back on these screens please?

hello, you may try below 

- head to settings → lockscreen → shortcuts → assign camera app

-head to Samsung folder → look for camera app → drag and drop the camera app to homescreen

Thank you. First one worked but can't seem to find camera in the Samsung app. Might just be being stupid here

The camera app isn't normally in the Samsung folder, it should just be there in the app drawer called "Camera".

It's in the app drawer and I can open it from there or from my lock screen. I just can't figure out how to get the widget back to the home screen. It's place is now taken up by the app widget
