I use that method on my note 20 ultra. Can't do it the old way anymore. I use either headphones or charging cable to do mine.

I have a Note 20 Ultra, Android 13,  One UI 5.1, I did it without any connection.

I don't know how you did it. I'm on Android 13 5.1 and the old way of doing it stopped with that update.

Wiping cache partition is good. It gets rid of any old residual files and makes phone run smoother. It's not dangerous at all.

Tbh, the first time I tried it took me to safe mode, and I just turned the phone off. I tried again and it didn't work, then I realized I was touching the volume button in the middle. The last time I restarted and immediately touched the up volume and on button, and stopped when Samsung came on. It's no longer just Samsung, it says One UI and whatever else, lol. and it worked. Didn't do any good, just took off 892 kb of trash, no changes, battery still bad.  I just did it again to make sure it wasn't a fluke.image000000001.jpg
