Hello,

Earlier today my note 9 started repeatedly restarting itself every few minutes its done this in the past as well but only once at a time. This time it was like 6 times in a row albeit with a few minutes in between each time. It didnt show any signs of stopping so I opened recovery mode and repaired apps and cleared cache partition in an attempt to fix this. I also disabled fingerprint unlock. It didnt solve the problem unfortunately but now instead of restarting it just shuts it self down randomly, no buzz or vibration, just black screens. I can turn it back on fine but it just shuts down again after a few minutes.

Anyone know what kind of issue this is and if it can be resolved? It shouldnt be a battery issue, the phone apparently charges fine.

So after factory resetting my note 9 worked for some days then the crashing started, when it restarted and i went to setting in device care i saw red on battery and app saying an app is crashing repeatedly,so i checked the app and found it is Instagram that is causing it,i went and uninstalled it now I'm not seeing that issue, looks like latest Instagram update is the culprit but i need to give it more time to see if truly that is the problem

My Note9 is also crashing (often 2-5 min after manually restarting, or when it restarts on its own).

It started last Sunday when I woke up to it being very hot to the touch while on the charger (heat felt not only from the screen, but thru the hard case). I can't recall if it was already restarting in it's own or if I initiated it manually, but I put it on a cool surface and encountered a ton of restarts, trying to navigate the phone, to check for malware, to download different malware software, to do a scan to optimize the phone, to check for updates, anything I could do to try to help it; I was grasping at straws! My battery depleted from 85% (should have been 100% off the charger, but it was not when I looked at it then) to 10% in the course of 1.5 hrs of mainly it restarting on its own, with a completely dim screen, and nothing running in the background. That felt way too quick under those circumstances.

In the evening, after removing photos and other important things (which took hours BECAUSE of the wait for it to restart automatically every other minute), I begrudgingly decided to factory reset. I currently have minimal apps, and my phone is still barely usable. It rarely gets warm to the touch anymore, but that's the only upside. Still restarts on its own, or chugs during any usage, sometimes acting as if I'm holding down keys during every keystroke (to the point where I can't even type without it entering special characters with each letter, ie: typing "#[%" instead of "dog"), or it highlights words (as if I'm trying to copy / select) while I'm actively trying to scroll on a page. It's infuriating!

Occasionally, like right now, during the dead of night, it goes back to normal. I can't explain it!

I also had a notification on my battery, like you did, but mine showed it was caused by TikTok. I uninstalled (for the second time) but I really don't think that's the culprit. I think it's an underlying issue because I still experienced these problems even during the time TikTok was uninstalled.
