Not receiving notifications from FB Messenger on my Galaxy Note 10+

I used to get notifications on my Note 10+ when someone would message me via FB Messenger. Now, for some reason, I am no longer getting those notifications. I never changed any settings. The issue started after updating my phone.

What can I do to fix this issue? It is a problem when my husband is out of town, as the cell service where he's at is almost nil.

I'm the same with my s22 ultra sometimes messages come through no bother and other times the only reason I noticed I had a msg was because I went into messenger and the msg was there it's annoying because I've missed a couple if important msgs because of it and I have notifications turned on for it so there's no reason why they shouldn't be coming through

@Robbie_R: Please try heading to Settings > Apps > Facebook Messenger > Notifications > Notification categories, and check each available/relevant category to ensure that you're set up to receive notifications, and the alerts are set to your preference.
