@Boogienights i agree this should be a feature i have been on youtube looking and managed to find a video that shows how to get sock always on display on the galaxy a40 but it doesnt work properly as u say its such a small feature they could of pushed to the device through an update just another thing have u recieved android 10 yet for your galaxy a40 ? If so which country etc are u in ? Im in the uk csc code xeu and still havent recieved it yet.

Hi @Renaldy i use game launcher on my phone i have the a40 only thing it does it can stop power hungry games using alot of battery it doesnt affect the phone in any other way. i just set mine to balanced performance and leave it at that and my games play and load ok no lag or issues hope this helps.

Hi @Boogienights i have an a40 android 10 is on its way we will get in the next week or 2 its been realesed in italy ryt now so wont be long till it hits or phones. Also with some of the issues your having have u tried wiping the cache from recovery mode and u could try a factory reset if that fails only issue ive had is my speaker turns on for no reason but after ive wiped the cache its stopped doing it.

@Briant566 i dont understand why yours isnt showing my messages icon shows on my lock screen and main screen i dont know about whatsapp as i use the standard messaging app and fb messenger for messaging if i find any info on it i will let u know asap.

Hi @Briant566 i have a galaxy a40 aswell and i wanted to change the way the notifications appeared on the lockscreen so just done a search in settings for lockscreen notifications because i couldnt find it in settings and that appeared. Glad this helped u 👍

If u go into settings and go to the search icon and type in lock screen notifications u will be able to change the view style of notifications on the lock screen u can change it from just the icon from the notification to more detailed were it will show u the message aswell hope this helps.

I have a galaxy a40 bought from carphone warehouse on the 28th jan 2020 i still havent recieved any security updates for my device and i have been looking online and there has been 2 realesed since the july security patch which my device has there was 1 realesed on the 12th feb 2020 with the 1st jan security patch which i still havent recieved i havent had a notification and i also have checked manually my csc code is xeu could anyone help me with this ? Or has anyone with my csc code recieved the update in the uk. I have done a hard reset and still it says my software is up to date is there any reason why its taking so long for it to reach my device ?
