Hello everyone.
I'm commenting on the "disorder" that Samsung is causing me to suffer. Last Thursday, I decide to reboot my device, Samsung A22 4g, something I do once a week to "speed up" the device a bit, and this is when the WORST happens. My samsung does NOT accept/recognize my own PIN (100% sure it is the correct one), at first I thought I was setting it wrong, after three errors, I start to worry.... After 3 wrong errors, I start trying other "possible PINs" but none were correct ACCORDING to the device.
Today I try again and it asks me to wait 24 HOURS before I can try a PIN.
I want to clarify that I can NOT lose the data that is on the phone, otherwise I would have already restored and recovered my device.
I have read all over the internet and it has happened to many users. Some have solved it by going into Safe Mode and it accepted (fortunately) the PIN.
What is Samsung's solution to this? I can't just reset the phone, I have a lot of data that I can't lose.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who has been able to fix this. This is really keeping me awake at night! a real headache!

I agree that the 'unlock' option should be brought back, especially considering that Samsung has yet to provide a solution to consumers facing this issue. It turns out that quite a few people are experiencing the same problem. But how do we let them know? Do they even really care about their customers' complaints?

After facing the issues like 24 hr pin lock out, then reboot cycling, I had to remove the battery and try again as the battery was over heating and I could not stop the reboot cycle. Once I managed to reboot the phone (Note10+) the phone welcome screen is now in Korean? I used my pin to log in by using a translation function from another phone and it is clear that when my pin is used the phone seems to accept it then screen goes black then immediately goes to the same welcome screen requiring a pin. I then put an incorrect pin and it states that its the wrong pin. When I put the correct pin the screen turns black then immediately goes to welcome screen again. When I call Samsung they are no help and give me a contractors # to pay for any repairs or service?? I regret buying my S24Ultra now as I can't even transfer any contacts or data to my new phone. I am pissed with Samsung !!! They are ignoring their loyal customers!

I am having the same problem now in 2025. Using my correct PIN, but it is not working, I'll try the soft refresh people are saying. Samsung S22 Ultra

My pin had changed from 4 digits to 6 digits since I had a new device. Try that.

I experienced the same issue today (23 June) with my Samsung A32. I reached out to Live Chat Support, and they instructed me to visit a service center because there was no way to fix the problem. I am extremely disappointed with Samsung! It feels like they're intentionally making their older models bug software-wise to push customers towards buying new ones.

Omggggg I'm going thru the same issue currently. Were you able to fix it without a factory reset?

Honestly Samsung isn't of much help. Infact, they are of no use. I too have been locked out of my S24 for 3 weeks now. And it is because of the last update that I got which somehow turned my 4 digit pin into a 6 digit and now won't accept my 4 digit pin which I have been using for months.
Samsung customer care chat, email, and also their service centers are totally not accepting it to be their fault while I see multiple users facing issues of their devices not accepting their right PINS.
If anyone ANYONE was able to get their devices fixed without factory reset then please help me out.
