[URGENT HELP] Samsung does not recognize my correct PIN

Hello everyone.

I'm commenting on the "disorder" that Samsung is causing me to suffer. Last Thursday, I decide to reboot my device, Samsung A22 4g, something I do once a week to "speed up" the device a bit, and this is when the WORST happens. My samsung does NOT accept/recognize my own PIN (100% sure it is the correct one), at first I thought I was setting it wrong, after three errors, I start to worry.... After 3 wrong errors, I start trying other "possible PINs" but none were correct ACCORDING to the device.

Today I try again and it asks me to wait 24 HOURS before I can try a PIN.

I want to clarify that I can NOT lose the data that is on the phone, otherwise I would have already restored and recovered my device.

I have read all over the internet and it has happened to many users. Some have solved it by going into Safe Mode and it accepted (fortunately) the PIN.

What is Samsung's solution to this? I can't just reset the phone, I have a lot of data that I can't lose.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who has been able to fix this. This is really keeping me awake at night! a real headache!

S23 Ultra. Same problem. I've got no problems with my old password(for over 2 moth). I'm at 4h wait. I've got the old phone, all backups and acces to all accounts. Samsung send me to rewrite the soft, so data erase. I've tried once the "soft reset", didn'twork. I think I have to wait the 24 h period... fck samsung and they're white horse, because locks like this glitch is for at least 2years...

I understand the sentiment. There's no clear reason for it. Am still seeing on various Samsung devices across different sectors. There's something glitching out the relationship with the cached encrypted container for the startup PIN.

This just happened to my wife with her A54 5G. Tried forced reboot with no help. Now trying to wait 24 hours to see if pin code would then work and she could still avoid forced reset.

I do not know if this can have anything to do with the issue, but this started when she was trying to set up Microsoft Authenticator app on her phone.

Waiting 24 hours did not work. Had to go for factory reset and lose all local data.

We are sure that PIN used is correct. Older phone was luckily still available that was not reset, pin worked there (new A54 was set with same pin). Our conclusion is that this is 100% Samsung issue. Last Samsung device in this family.

My ok button seemed to be dimmed too. Did you manage to unlock your phone. I'm desperate, this just happened out of the blue

It just happened to us on A52. Suddenly PIN stopped working after 3 years 😞 No other option than to factory reset. So many issues with Samsung SW lately on both phones as well as on watches.

Thanks for getting back to me. I guess I'll have to do that too.

I had been facetiming with my family and ended the call. 5 minutes later I tried to unlock my phone with my fingerprint it wouldnt work nor would my pin, so sudden! I havent had any messages re wrong pin but like yours my ok button seemed dimmed. I'll talk to my provider tomorrow. Hate Facebook..have had a few scams through ..it but I'm glad I have Messenger. .It helps me communicate at times like this. Thanks again.

Well then if they cannot fix the issue they should at least bring back the "Unlock" option in the SmartThings Find app so people can unlock their devices. I read somewhere they removed it because of a security concern since if someone stole your phone they could just put your SIM card in another phone and use it to get the one-time code for getting into your Samsung account which would allow them to unlock the stolen phone but then they need to allow some other method of unlocking the screen, this is way too frustrating, how can they treat their customers like this?!
