Update issues

I have an A51 5g that keeps telling me I need a security update, I click 'update' and it says 'you have latest uodate', I go back and it still say 'update needed'...
Can anyone help pls?

On newer devices it is up to 7 years but back in 2020 it was less I'm afraid

Came with 4 years ago 2020 to 2024 which is what you have

Any idea why it won't go into recovery mode to clear cache partition?
I'm pressing power & vol - simultaneously and holding but it just keeps cycling on the boot screen and Samsung logo is not appearing?

You need to connect it to a pc or laptop or another phone.

I'll add instructions on how to do it but it won't change your updates

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer USBC to USBC (you may also connect to another Samsung mobile via USBC). Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

It's never been cleared and some apps etc are running slow
