I have had 3 Samsung A53's install updates in the last 5 days and after the updates all 3 touch screens on the phones have then not worked at all!!! Cannot turn the phone on or off, cannot go to settings, nothing at all. How does this happen and how can it be fixed?  So far, not impressed with Samsung for allowing their own updates to ruin their phones. Surely I don't have to wait until their next update to sort the problem?  So far, no-one can help fix this!

@Members_VZmeIMy: I'm unaware of any wider issues that have caused the touch screen of Galaxy A53 devices to become unresponsive following an official update. Were the updates carried out over Wi-Fi in Settings > Software update? If so, were all 3 phones on the official software prior to installing the update?

I had the same problem on my daughter's A53 5G. The display was broken so I replaced it with this replacemant display: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B08KQ433B4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details and then I updated android to the nnewest one with One UI 6.0. Immediately after updte the touch screen stoped working.

I tried different things, nothng worked, and finaly I had to revert to the previous Android version using odin software and downloaded firmware from https://samfw.com/

As the touch screen was not working I had to use usb mouse and keyboard (Logitech, paired with a dongle in advance on a Windows PC) and attached to my phone using a USB connector (USB C to A). I also used Windows Link App to control the phone from Windows on my PC.
Odin Software worked only when I restarted the phone in Download mode.

I did a full backup (using Mouse and keyboard first) to a Samsung Account and after flashing older Android I restored everythng from this backup.

Something like that happened to my A53 yesterday. No touch, also not after reset. Thought my screen was the culprit, brought it to repairshop. Replaced screen, same issue, no touch. Replaced Mainboard, some issue, no touch. Got the infamous update few days ago.  I will try  andrzejgil's solution tomorrow and report the result back.

My phone was on the official software and was indeed updated via Settings -> Software update.

I have the same problem. I tried everything, soft reset, factory reset. Before the factory reset, I was able to use the phone with a mouse and tried updating the phone to the very latest version. However,  even the mouse stopped working after the factory reset so I am out of options. This issue first started a day ago when touch was temporarily disabled but it just fixed itself after like an hour. After that it happened again and it didn't fix itself.

Did this method actually work for you?  I have been reading that this is not possible since backing up from Andoid 14 to 13 goes from bootloader version 8 to 7.  Samsung phone apparently can't go back to previous bootloader version.

I am having the same issue.  Replaced broken screen and all was working normally.  Went through several updates since the phone was not operating for several months.  Touch was working perfectly.  Then once it updated to One UI 6.0, the tounch stopped working.  I have tried a few things I saw on the internet but still not working.  I double checked that it was a loose or improperly connected cable.  Ran the internal diagnostics and all tests pass expect the touchscreen test.

I have the same thing happening here. The problem only seems to occur on phones with aftermarket screens, which is the case for my device. It would've been fine if I hadn't broken the screen in the first place, but because of this issue the phone is basically unusable now.
