Unable to load Facebook from Home screen

I can't load FB from the home screen anymore. It goes into what I assume is a "Boot loop".. any answers would be useful.

Settings- apps- Facebook- *forcestop* then- storage- clear cache. Try open again

*assuming you mean Facebook

Hi john ..yes Facebook and I've done what you suggested plus a restart and it's still the same. I'm guessing this has something to do with the latest One Ui update that samsung won't admitvhas many problems?

Did you contact Facebook regarding their app too

Try stopping the app, clear cache then clear data then uninstall the app. Reinstall the app, which will be a clean install. If it still doesn't work check your apps and phone software are all updated as outdated app or phone software can cause unexpected problems. Hope this helps

Hi Paul, I've followed your instructions and it's working so far. Thanks everyone for your help. I keep my phone and apps updated all the time so I don't know what set this episode off. I've had very few problems with my phone. X

Well. It lasted for one session. Now back to "boot loop" haha Samsung. Sort it out please
