Ui8 update bricked A53 5g

This morning's ui8 update has left me without a phone as now the Sim is no longer detected.

after trying all the online suggestions (including multiple mobile setting resets) I tried a factory reset. However, this also downloaded ui8 , so that didn't work either.

I've just noticed the GPS reception is also non functioning. 

I have raised an error report and received an acknowledgement. 

I seen a few other's with the same problem.

Back to the airplane mode being greyed out would not the data background be the same? I think its stuck in airplane mode!

If I put my S6 into airplane mode. It still shows signal strength on the status page. Whereas my Knobbed up A53 says 'not available ' at all times

I have logged 2 error reports and have had no response. A Shocking service. There is no simple fix and TBH we should not have to fiddle about like this. Samsung ought to be pushing out a patch urgently. My boss will not be to sympathetic if I miss any emergency hospital calls over the next few day, and it will make for interesting reading in the press if I do. Will there be a compensation package offered out?

I had two replies, each asking for a log file, I'm  not sure why the log swere not received, as each took a few mins to send.

But at least they acknowledged the problem.

Which menu ir category did you log it under, Just in ease I am doing it all wrong.

I believe I used 'others' as this seemed to be the least specific option. (I'm lookingto see if can find the replies)

They need to fix this asap, it is clearly a UI8 update issue and no amount of resets or cache clearing etc is going to change that. This will be the last Samsung I ever buy if they don't pull their finger out soon!!!!!

Also just noticed that the pile of ***** phone that used to be my A53 is draining its battery at an alarming rate, sat there not doing anything. 70% in under 24hrs, it wouldn't lose that using it normally, so there you go Samsung you really f***ed my phone up.
