This morning's ui8 update has left me without a phone as now the Sim is no longer detected.

after trying all the online suggestions (including multiple mobile setting resets) I tried a factory reset. However, this also downloaded ui8 , so that didn't work either.

I've just noticed the GPS reception is also non functioning.

I have raised an error report and received an acknowledgement.

I seen a few other's with the same problem.

Doesn't matter if your using a single sim to what sim slot your using.

Hi all, the recent ui8 update, has redendered my phone next to useless, as it longer recognizes the Sim card. Do we know if Samsung are releasing a patch soon? This is very annoying.

Regardless of how this goes, I'm never buying another Samsung phone, this is a shambles of a release and looking into the history of the OneUI 8 beta it was a poop show right from the off.

Ok People let's not get too despondent, there are a growing number of users affected by this bug and from my short experience on the US site , they are having problems too ,  so the pressure must be building on Samsung. (BTW make  sure you file a error report - A longpress of Members App icon in apps will popup a menu).

I wondered if this could be an Android 16 issue, related to the "fake cell tower" detection,  and hence country code specific . However, my A53 phone does not even seem to see the sim(s)  - why would it not tell something about the sim , if it read it?

Where as, My old S6 will read an ancient vodaphone sim that I had to cut to fit!

I know a bit about big tech software releases and although Samsung may well do an update it won't be quick, in the meantime I'm going to the dark side... iPhone... had a spare just sitting there, looking at me and smirking.
