This morning's ui8 update has left me without a phone as now the Sim is no longer detected.

after trying all the online suggestions (including multiple mobile setting resets) I tried a factory reset. However, this also downloaded ui8 , so that didn't work either.

I've just noticed the GPS reception is also non functioning.

I have raised an error report and received an acknowledgement.

I seen a few other's with the same problem.

Tourbillon De La Vie  & Piper123,

Thank you both for your speedy reply.

I should have described my situation better - sorry!

No, I'm not using 2 Sims and I have removed the original Sim and replaced it in the same tray with the new Sim.

Thanks

Yes, as well as I could, the nano sim doesn't fit well in place of the micro-sd card so I'm not sure if it was perfectly aligned or needed an additional adapter.

Hi I have the Samsung s25 and use 2 simcards but sim 1 is sim 2 vice versa it's no problem as when you get a message it shows the sim within messages so it doesn't really matter

AndyW16,

Thank you for your info.  I was hoping for such a reply as everything seems to be working just fine.

Thanks again

My Samsung A53 5g did an update last night and I now have no network coverage and it's saying no SIM is detected? I've tried all the usual measures to try get it connected again. Restarted phone, toggled aeroplane mode on and off, take some out and back in a couple of times and left phone off. I haven't even got the option of mobile network on my settings screen anymore, it's dropped off. What is going on Samsung. Must be a glitch with update.

Hello,

I have an A54 with dual Sim capability but on use a single Sim. I recently changed provider and when I inserted the new Sim card my phone settings show it as Sim2. I don't see an option to change the default. Nor do I understand if this is a potential problem or not. Everything seems to work properly.

Would appreciate any comments or suggestions.

Thanks
