Trouble with camera on Galaxy A21s

I have a A21s (not a S21).  I am having trouble talking pictures when I turn the phone to the Landscape position.  Everything works perfectly when I keep the phone in Portrait position (up and down).  But in the Landscape position, 8 times out of 10, when I tap the phone to take the photo either nothing happens or it jumps to Wide Angle lens - but even then it does not take the picture.  Now, 2 times out of 10, it works perfectly, but it is just random or I am doing something I don't know I am doing.  It is frustrating.  Anyone got any suggestions?  How do you make the camera behave in the Landscape position?

Had a Facebook conversation with technical support. They swear our problems do not occur IF you use OFFICIAL Samsung covers. For my phone they sell a "gel" cover but not a "wallet" cover. May give this a try. £9 with free next day delivery.

Hmm...well it certainly happens with my official Samsung wallet cover. Looks like we've reached the end of the road. I'll keep monitoring this forum in case another complainant pops up. I'm a bit hacked off that I've bought a phone costing nearly £300 that doesn't work properly, and a wallet case costing £30-odd that I can't use!

Go to "support" and start a Facebook conversation with them. They were very responsive to me. Worth it. I am trying different ways of holding my phone to see if I can find a solution without wasting money on another case.

Okeydoke. I did have a conversation with support before, when the guy told me to send my case back and get a replacement! I might try again in a month or so when they may have logged a few more cases ( my model only came out this spring).

Keep me posted. If I am careful about the way I hold my phone, the
camera behaves. Just need to remember what that position is!

I have the same problem with my a70. I posted a new entry today. Taking it out of the case doesn't change anything. I would guess it is a problem with the latesy software update. It is driving me round the bend.

diehard - any progress? As long as I follow your advice about supporting all 4 corners of my phone with one thumb or finger, camera 📷 works 9 out of 10 times. Looks mostly to be "operator error".

I don't see a "diehard" on this thread. Is this someone else with the same issue? (No progress here, by the way).
