System ui isn't responding error message

After booting, my Galaxy A33 constantly displays pop-up 'System ui isn't responding' with options to 'close app' or 'wait'.
Phone functions perfectly fine though this pop-up displays evry 30 seconds or so. I tap wait every time though it gets quite annoying.
Once by accident I tapped close app and my screen went black and my device was unresponsive for quite some time.

Does anyone know why my phone does this ?

Hi, and welcome to the community.
If none of @BandOfBrothers above troubleshooting helps, then try clearing the System UI cache.

Settings>Apps. Tap the 'Sort by' icon. Toggle on 'Show system apps '. Scroll down and tap on 'System UI'. Tap 'Storage'. Tap 'Clear cache.1722066296967.jpg1722066296987.jpg1722066297008.jpg1722066297035.jpg

Certainly sounds like your phone isn't liking something that's going on @Harrison_Cyan  🤔

There are a few troubleshooting steps you can try >

  • Make sure all your apps and phone are up to date.
  • Run the Optimise Now option in your Device Care.
  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
  • Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.
  • There is a diagnostic tool in your Samsung Members App.
  • You can Ask a question in your Samsung Members App that goes directly to Samsung.
  • If you perform a forum search you should find existing threads with some further help within.

If all the above does not help then as a last resort of your troubleshooting consider backing up and perform a Factory Reset.

Please let us know how you get on.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
