Still problems with software update galaxy A12. POST UPDATED

 I have Samsung Galaxy A12 and earlier today a message came up for a software update I clicked remind me later on usually when I do that I can go in and update it, unusually I have gone into find this software update and it says the software is up to date which I can't understand why the software update isn't there anymore? I have been waiting about 5/6 months for another software update and nothing has ever come up. I regularly go into the software settings and check for updates and it always says that it is up to date, the security patch is 1st June 2023. I have a galaxy A13 which updates regularly and the security patch on my A13 is 1st October 2023.

UPDATE 

As of the end of December my Samsung galaxy A12 updated, i put a different sim card into it as it had been suggested to me and my phone updated.

Sometimes popping in another networks sim card can instigate an update ~ worth a go !

I don't think there will be any as the phone is about 3 years old I given a12 to my daughter no updates for it

Hi i have tried the link you posted and it wanted me to double some apps which I was uncertain of, I tried samsung smart switch but it would only give me the option to transfer all my data onto another device.

The samsung galaxy phones have software and security updates for 4 years. My A12 wanted to update about 8 weeks ago but i was busy with the phone so I clicked on remind me later as I have done many times with all my Samsung devices and usually when you are ready to download the software update it is usually waiting in the software update section of the settings but when I went to find the update the following day it had disappeared and it has not offered me an update since and it is well within the 4 years of updates that samsung provides

@Bev54 this means an update is not yet ready. 

From the link I gave regarding Samsung Smartswitch. 

Step 1. Connect your device to your computer using the USB cable provided with your device. 
Step 2. Open Smart Switch on your PC. 
Step 3. If a software update is available, Smart Switch will automatically prompt you to update the software or display an option to update.
Step 4. Tap Update and follow the on-screen instructions to download the necessary files and complete the update process.

Unfortunately i do not have a computer. I only have a Samsung galaxy tab A7 lite and galaxy A12 and A13 and S10. My galaxy A13 and my galaxy tab have had 2 recent updates and about 2 other updates since my A12 was last updated

When I updated my A12, the sim card signals stopped working and I had to root it to be able to use the sim cards.How can I unroot it safely without losing any documents and be able to use the networks.Pls tell me how to, because a lot of apps don't work on the phone because its rooted

I don't know how to do that, you would be better posting a post on the group and usually members who work for Samsung more often than not usually reply or another member will reply to you

@MJ1410 IF you look on the main front page of Samsung members and press on community at the bottom of the page and then you should see a pencil icon and press on that and write your own post for everyone to see, let me know how you get on 😊
