Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help me?
Last year, I bought a Samsung Galaxy A10 off Amazon, and it stated that it was the European version, but after I did a bit of digging, I noticed that my phone was actually from the Southeast Asian region (specifically, Malaysia). This phone was, of course, region-locked, so the sellers on Amazon had to unlock it. One year on, I am now thinking of giving this phone to a family member, but I wish to factory reset the phone before I give it to them. Would resetting the phone activate the region lock again, or is the region lock off for good?
Thank you!

@Anonymous User: As far as I'm aware, performing a factory data reset shouldn't reinstate the region lock on the device. If the region lock does return, then it can be removed by making a 5-10 minute cumulative call to a local number, using a SIM card from your region.
