My Samsung phone was bought from a different region from the one I am in now and my gallery app does not load when I need to upload pictures to an app like notes or Google idea. Is there a way to fix this? I even tried changing my Samsung account region to my current location, which did not seem to work.

Please help me deal with this.

Thank you

Hello 👋 @Members_xglTCMV

Even though the phone was purchased from another region it should work in regards to the Photo's going into the Samsung Gallery app and any vault.

Do check all the preferences settings and sync settings.

Google Search >

If your Samsung photos aren't appearing in the gallery, it's likely because the Gallery app doesn't have the necessary storage permissions to access your photos; check your phone settings to ensure the Gallery app has permission to access your photos and videos, and if not, grant it access.

Here's how to check and adjust permissions:
  • Go to Settings: Open your phone's settings.

  • Find Apps: Navigate to the "Apps" or "Applications" section.

  • Select Gallery: Tap on the Gallery app.

  • Check Permissions: Go to "Permissions" and ensure the toggle for "Photos and videos" is set to "Allow" or "Always allow".

Other possible reasons why your photos might not be showing in the gallery:
  • Hidden Albums: Check if you've accidentally hidden any albums in the Gallery settings.

  • Storage Location: Make sure your camera is set to save photos to the phone's internal storage instead of an external SD card if you're having issues with the card.

  • App Issues: Try clearing the Gallery app cache or restarting the app.

  • Software Update: Check for any pending software updates on your phone.

The only other option is to return the phone for a refund and buy one from where you reside.
