Samsung galaxy A40 volume up button doesn't work

I've had this phone just above a year and recently the volume up botton isn't working properly.is there a solution?

Apart from taking it in for repair, the only thing I can think of is to activate the on screen volume icon via pushing the down volume key, then using the onscreen volume to raise the volume...

Is it actually the button that is not moving ? or is it moving but not activating or responding ?

Hi thanks for your help! It turned out to be an app crashing on the phone called "talk back app" which every Samsung phone already had installed. I deleted the cache and thankfully its started to work again

That is good news, and thank you for the tip, I will check for that app myself.

I know the upday app is the main culprit for battery drain, so I always disable that one, but the talk back app I have never heard of, so thanks
