Well after a lot of researching for a second backup device that I can use for work, I have ordered a Galaxy A54 5G 128GB supplied with an EE PAYG sim card

I wasn't quite ready but whilst googling I noticed an A54 5G for sale in Argos, which I presumed was an error as it was £100 cheaper than most other places but when I checked on the Argos website it was indeed £100 cheaper, so after checking the Samsung website to confirm the price I clicked buy and as an extra bonus I got 1750 Nectar Points too

The only downside is the special offer was only on the white model and I prefer Black, the other colours are £449.00 and I don't think it's worth £100 to change colour, however, I will just be getting a black case anyway so it's not an issue

I could have had it delivered today but it was an extra £1 delivery so I'll get it Tuesday instead for £2.95 being a tight-fisted sod

So I'll have a new toy to play with over the next week or so, providing one of the kids or grandkids don't claim it

This is the link to the deal but not sure how long it will last

@PaulC59  seems a good deal  for those interested in this device and generally regarded as one of the best Mid Range devices. It is still available at the moment.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Thank you. Yes it's quite a feature packed phone probably the head of the crowd in mid range phones although I think the price of £449 125gb or £499 256gb is a bit steep but as it's got 4yrs of updates and support it should be good for quite a while to come, at least a couple of years. I think for £349 it's a bit of a bargain. It will also be an opportunity to road test the Exynos chip. I'm currently on about 100gb used in my S23 but I don't expect to need more than the 125gb but as it has a slot for a 1tb SD card that isn't a worry. Sometimes mid range phones can be a better option for business use as the lower No's of gizmos can extend battery life and improve stability but we'll see.

I'm looking forward to giving it a run for the money 😊

Let us know what you think of it. I've the A53 5G as my backup phone and it's incredible. Considering it's class as a mid-ranger it's awesome. It handled my 2 SIM cards simultaneously with ease. The battery life on it is superb. So it will be interesting to see how you get on.

I have spent quite some time pondering and researching and most recommendations I came across recommended the A53 5g as the best bang for the buck. I think it was mainly due to the price for a phone with so many features. One review tested the battery life and the A54 5g ran continuously playing a video for nearly 27hrs before requiring a charge which is astonishing.

The A54 5g seems to be the mid range equivalent of the S23 Ultra

Yes, it does seem to be at the top of the mid- rangers for sure. I had a play with it. When I happened to be in Manchester a little while ago. So went for a browse in the Samsung Experience store there.
I actually think Samsung had done a great job with the plastic back of the A53. Some might say it felt cheap but it certainly was robust. I dropped my A53 in work. No case, landed on its back from waist height onto a concrete floor. Not a mark! It's a pity to see that go to be honest.

You're like me, to be honest. It's always good to do some research. I always watch numerous YouTube reviews before I purchase anything 👍🏻
