Samsung A53 using 2nd sim

Is it possible to use a 2nd sim abroad whilst stopping sim 1 from roaming or having signal. As I don't want to pay fees for roaming I am looking a buying a 2nd sim to install

Under Settings>Connections>Mobile Networks you can disable data roaming, however I'm not sure if this is for the whole phone or will be per SIM card if you have 2 SIM cards in the device. You would need to add both sims to check I'm afraid. Please also note that if you have 2 Sims, you won't be able to use the slot for micro SD card storage.

You should be able to disable SIM 1 and enable SIM 2 for calls, messages and data. You can do that in Settings > Connections > SIM manager.
