‼️WARNING TO FUTURE SAMSUNG CUSTOMERS‼️

What has SAMSUNG done to the Galaxy A53 5G #? I am completely unable to gain access to my phone as it can't get past even the loading screen before freezing, crashing then rebooting. Soon it won't even be able to turn on. Not even to do a data transfe

ATP it's apparent that Samsung has purposely put out an update that renders the phone USELESS. Spending loads of time and money on diagnostics just to find out that the update is not compatible with the motherboard. Countless people have messaged and reported the issue,  even on you Samsung community platform.

It is absolutely cruel to force everyday struggling people to replace an phone that literally had no issues 2 months ago. And what is worse is that I was only lucky to receive the update late and it seems to be an issue since April for most. THIS NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED. THESE DEVICES ARE NOT CHEAP TO BEGIN WITH. SO WHY ARE WE NEEDING TO GET REPLACEMENTS OR 'UPGRADES' AFTER BARELY 2 YEARS. OVER A SOFTWARE UPDATE AT THAT??!!?!!???

It goes to shows how microscopic their care is that not even a patch update is worth it. Might as well switch to Apple because at least they haven't stretched themselves completely thin. Samsung is clearly incapable of monitoring/ supporting so many devices as aimlessly cutting a few loose is inevitable. People should no longer gamble with their money because not even the flagship 'S' models are safe. The S22 is incurring the same issues.

I updated without being aware of these issues and sure enough I am now experiencing the exact same problems. I am just wondering how can Samsung not be held liable if everyone is experiencing the same problems.

If anyone has a workarounds, please let me know.

I've been arguing with Samsung over this since September, in the United States we have consumer rights, implied warranty, etc. Samsung failed us and fried our phones with their one UI update, we should all band together for a class action against them. My phone was almost $500 and didn't even last a year and a half. When contacting Samsung care I get the same run around and they refuse to escalate this issue for me. They know exactly what happened and refuse to make this right. My phone is out of warranty Yes, but the implied warranty states the product should last a reasonable amount of time and this a53 absolutely did not, seems there are hundreds of us that this has happened too and they've offered no solution to fix this.

How would we go about starting a class action? There's just too many of us to let this slide.

I wonder if anyone tried before regarding this issue.

There are a few websites where you can submit and a lawyer will look into it, has to be something that a mass of people have experienced so we have that part covered. I'm completely over them disregarding this issue, like everyone had $500 to spend on a paperweight. I paid in full because cricket offers no upgrades. Samsung care act like they have no idea what I'm talking about and I'm sorry but yes, Samsung knows about this, they want me to troubleshoot a phone that won't turn on.

I had the same issue with my A53 5g, but I may have found a way to.improve the situation. I think what is happening is that whatever error the phone is encountering, is causing the cpu to run extremely hot which made the phone shut down as to not damage its components. Removing the case already slightly reduced the amount of crashes and cooling it with an ice pack allowed me to at least do a factory reset and get through the setup. After that, it still crashed but less frequently, and the amount of crashes rose again after I restored all the apps and data. It was still not great but at least somewhat usable. I then tried removing samsungs bloatware, like ar emoji and stuff like that using adb (its a programm that allows you to run commands on the phone from your pc, there are a bunch if tutorials out there for it) and wouldnt you know it, the amount of crashes dropped significantly. I have used it for a few hours now, where it only crashed once, instead of 20 times back to back without turning on again, but like I said, it doesnt solve the issue completely, but the phone becomes usable again. I will try downgrading one ui and see if that resolves the issue completely, and if that doesnt work ill try enrolling in the 7.0 beta and see if they fixed the issue in the next update. Ill try to keep you all posted.

Nah, it was only a very temporary fix. It would work at least every now and again but still often wouldnt turn on for hours. I gave up and bought a new one. In conclusion: we were all screwed from the moment we bought the thing.

Bro, same! This f/ucking phone restart itself even four times at once. It's crazy and I'm so angry because is not the cheapest model, I don't even have 2 years using it and I also take care of my devices, so it's super unfair what Samsung it's doing. If they don't fix this issue I will never come back to buy another Samsung device. And I have been buying Samsung smartphones for years but this it pissed me off.

Same issue. The phone was working literally fine for 3 years. Last month they suggested the update which I naively accepted. It looked like that it was a trap to render the phone obsolete.  Samsung service asked me around 300 euros for replacement of the motherboard in order to support their latest os. Downgrading is no longer an option as they intentionally lock the boot loader to the latest version (which makes the phone obsolete).  People need to know the risks before accepting updates that might push them to pay more to continue using their purchased phones. If Samsung allows downgrading the boot loader, it would be fair but they don't.

At least you got 3 years, for most of us  this happened a few months after the factory warranty was over smh. Some had it happen while still under warranty. Bad thing is they act like they don't know about it, every tech I spoke too acted as if I was the first person this has happened too. I should have known after the Samsung washer I had for only 7 months fried but I gave them another chance, I paid $400 for this a53 and they wanted me to pay them to fix this crash, it won't even turn on now. I've spoke to some lawyers about this. They say there is a case but don't wanna go up against Samsung so we are just screwed. Even though if you look up implied warranty in the United States they should have to offer a solution or replacement. Now I'm using a Motorola and it's horrible but I didn't have 600 to drop on a phone at Christmas time.
