‼️WARNING TO FUTURE SAMSUNG CUSTOMERS‼️
What has SAMSUNG done to the Galaxy A53 5G #? I am completely unable to gain access to my phone as it can't get past even the loading screen before freezing, crashing then rebooting. Soon it won't even be able to turn on. Not even to do a data transfe
ATP it's apparent that Samsung has purposely put out an update that renders the phone USELESS. Spending loads of time and money on diagnostics just to find out that the update is not compatible with the motherboard. Countless people have messaged and reported the issue, even on you Samsung community platform.
It is absolutely cruel to force everyday struggling people to replace an phone that literally had no issues 2 months ago. And what is worse is that I was only lucky to receive the update late and it seems to be an issue since April for most. THIS NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED. THESE DEVICES ARE NOT CHEAP TO BEGIN WITH. SO WHY ARE WE NEEDING TO GET REPLACEMENTS OR 'UPGRADES' AFTER BARELY 2 YEARS. OVER A SOFTWARE UPDATE AT THAT??!!?!!???
It goes to shows how microscopic their care is that not even a patch update is worth it. Might as well switch to Apple because at least they haven't stretched themselves completely thin. Samsung is clearly incapable of monitoring/ supporting so many devices as aimlessly cutting a few loose is inevitable. People should no longer gamble with their money because not even the flagship 'S' models are safe. The S22 is incurring the same issues.

Any owner experiencing such issues I would suggest to send this as feedback via your Samsung Members App with any relevant error logs.
If this update is indeed causing catastrophic failures ,then the more people that report this the better.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I’ve been having the same issue since last Tuesday, September 24th. It keeps bootlooping, and I can’t even hard reset my A53 5G.

Having the same issue. Called Samsung they said it's a common issue and there is nothing that can be done if your warranty has expired because they would need to replace the board. Called a local phone technician in my area. He said this is a common issue with A, M, and S series Samsungs. He said a board replacement would only be slightly cheaper than buying a whole new phone. Looks like I'm gonna have to buy a new phone and it probably won't be a Samsung. Seing as my warranty has only been expired a few months and the phone isn't even 2 years old... smh do better Samsung.

I have the same issues after performing system upgrades, especially One UI 6.1 and Android 14. My phone now frequently freezes with pixelated lines across the display, or just stops responding. Sometimes it restarts, sometimes not, and then I have to twiddle around with the buttons and such for 10 minutes until it starts again.
I feel the phone is more stable when the battery is full. When it is plugged in, I have detected no issues with freezing and restarting yet, but would have to test further. Issues seem to be more frequent when the battery level drops below 50%. On a hunch, I also turned off all battery saving settings and will see if this helps.
Has anyone had success with downgrading One UI? Has anyone found a workaround??

exactly same issue
curiously without sim card can survive a little longer to the reboot randomly
it'a a shame for samsung to release sw without deep debugging and destroy customers trust and reputation

Has anybody downgraded successfully?? There are tutorials online that describe how, but I am wondering if it solved the issue.

My A53 started to restart after the last update 6.1 last week. Then it started to freeze the screen showing a thick line pixels, then it soon started to reboot continuously in a loop with no success. I erased cache partition, safe mode the same, finally a factory reset, but even after factory reset it restarted at the beginning of the phone configuration screen (the language/idiom screen).
Samsung local store budget me with a whole motherboard replacement for half the price of a new one. I declined.

Been putting off updating my phone to avoid the issue getting worse and it seems it's hit rock bottom. Can't open my phone at all without it immediately crashing and rebooting after I unlock it. Extremely disappointing. The switch to iPhone never seemed so close to happening.
