after updating my A14 5G to One UI 7.0, my touchcreen doesn't work at all anymore.

How to fix this?

That was working perfectly until Samsung decided to break them with an untested software release.

Software is hardly "untested". Really?

Samsung do a huge amount of testing of software, I know, I've seen some of what they do.

There are also millions of android apps out there. Samsung nor any other manufacturer can be expected to test against every app, every version of every app etc.

You are welcome to your view. The only issue here is that you are completely a WRONG.

Same issue here. My mother's phone is A14 and after the upgrade the touchscreen stops working regularly. Sometimes pushing the power button to turn off the screen and then pushing again to turn on solves the issue (temporarily). We also tried to backup the data with Smart Swicth, but it doesn't see the phone at all (it sees all other phones around). We enabled USB data something under the Developer settings too, still no luck.

I am wondering if anyone tried to roll back to previous versions? Not sure if it would work considering that even the Smart Swicth app does not see the phone at all...

(neither does Windows actually... Only charging is possible).

I bought Samsung for my latest phone and also for my mother because "it's good". I am starting to reconsider this statement.

Are you seriously suggesting that because I have whatsapp messenger and email apps on my phone it's OK for Samsung to release software that is incompatible and renders the phone useless. You are completely WRONG and if you are actually involved in software and testing, God help any of your customers.

I have no idea what apps you have on your phone. But if you look, it has more than the three you mentioned.....

What I've clearly stated above is that if Samsung software was to blame, it would affect EVERY device.

It doesn't....

Oh so it's the customers fault that a phone that was working perfectly has been 'updated' by the supplier so that it no longer works. You live in a strange world.

No phones have been rendered useless by One UI 7. Some have problems, but none are unusable.

You are welcome to your opinion.

Perhaps if you had an understanding of how software works (I do) then you'd understand.

I've explained it clearly and concisely but it isn't what you want to hear so you are trying to rubbish said responses.

I'll leave it there. You won't listen and can't be helped.

You have explained nothing but are trying to justify Samsung putting out software that borks some of their phones. I can most happily be helped but probably by someone who understands software development and testing- like me
