Hi Forum Folke,

I have an A02S running Android 11.  It updated its software not long ago, and now I have a bug where the phone keeps firing up whatever music playing app I have installed and playing a random audio file (music or ringtone) at random intervals.  Kind of annoying to have your phone blast you out of a sound sleep at 2:57 in the morning!

I've found all kinds of suggestions for what to do about it (apparently it's not an uncommon issue), but in almost all cases, the suggestions don't match what's available in my phone's menu, so I can't follow them.  What I DO know is that this problem didn't happen until after the upgrade. I would like to 'roll back' to the software version that was in the phone when it arrived; can you verify that a hard reset will restore the phone to it's original "as recieved" version?

If not, is there some other way to undo an upgrade?  If it makes any difference, this is a TracFone, not one from one of the 'big-box' carriers.

It does not seem to have Samsung Music installed, nor any other music app that I can find, other than the ones I've installed and tried.  I'm partial to "Pi" music player, but I've tried three others as well, and they all have the same problem, which is why I think it's a phone issue, and the fact that it started happening on the heels of an update pretty much cements that theory.  Removing all music apps resolves the problem.  Any input would be very much appreciated!  I like playing music from my phone to a Bose bluetooth speaker, but it's not worth this kind of aggravation.

I have been able to find it a few things on Tick Toc about how to reverse different stuff. So far they have all worked. What have you had issues with and maybe I can try to help you if I can remember how I did it

I'm utterly &££@#^%% bleep bleep of the Samsung update, which in my opinion has actually bleep my phone, which was working 100% perfectly well, until Samsung update that's tottally ruined everything

Starters ... when starting my phone I have "Dhu-al-Hijjah" a Muslim event which is counting down to this big event, I don't celebrate ( note Samsung has never er had a religious event count down before covering other religious events)
Despite trying everything I can't remove it, instead been told I obviously had a "glitch" when had the update, only way to solve it is to revert to factory setting after downloading everything and save everything....

After spending what felt like hours, altering tbe settings on my phone, because oddly when you gave the update you also opened up all my privacy settings ect, unsure why you felt the need to do this.
Then *grindes teeth* the next day, I turn on my phone to find all my settings have reverted back to how Samsung update had suddenly put them.

I totally agree with JudyFI ... why give a major update and mess around with settings when there wasn't an issue

Samsung has tottally ruined what I personally thought was a fabulous system the only issue I had, was it needed to be charged daily ... that's it. But now you have created one big daily migraine.

Please don't tell me to wait till next update, or revert to factory settings as won't help this situation you created, that wasn't needed.

Right time for large coffee and re set everything back again

@hi001R, Downgrade is not possible due to security reasons. There's unofficial way but we can't discuss it on this forum and you do it at your own risk.
