Ringer volume

When I set a new ringtone, or set the volume, it is really loud, just what I want with my poor hearing. But incoming calls only ring at a moderate volume, not the really loud one.

Check the volume for ringtones.

Settings -> Sounds and vibrations -> Volume

Slide up the Ringtone volume to the desired volume.

You might also like to slide Notifications and System.

Thanks for this. But the ringtone volume is already at maximum, as are the other two. But incoming calls just produce a mediumish level of ringing. The only fully loud ring is when I set the ringtone to something else, then back to 80s phone.

Have you checked if any routines are enabled or do not disturb mode is on by any chance?

Also have you tried to wipe cache partition of the phone? (Ypu might need to plug your phone to PC)
