Phone flashes

My phone will periodically flash white at the bottom ore have the hole screen fash a range of colours it doesn't happen everyday ore even every week youtube seems to consistently make it happen on shorts after 1 update it seemingly went away and came back seemingly an update later my phone diagnostics doesn't detect a problem but it's happening more and more repeatedly in short strains of time ant tips I think the ribbon cable had been damaged if I had to guess at the issue

Firstly-
If you go into the phone dialer app Dial *#0*#- a Samsung secret code that is a Samsung secret code that opens a diagnostic mode for testing various hardware parts of the phone

If this doesnt work
settings- security and privacy - autoblocker disable it, try the code and see if it works

If its an update causing this, clear the cache partition;
Connect phone to PC/laptop 1. Turn off the device. 2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and Power key. 3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys. 4. An "Installing system update" message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear. 5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight "clear cache partition". 6. Press the Power key to select. 7. Press the Volume down key to highlight "Yes," then press the Power key to select. 8. When the process is complete, "Reboot system now" is highlighted. 9. Press the Power key to restart the device

@Jacobnewmarch run the diagnostic tool found in the Samsung Members App to see if that highlights anything. 

May I suggest to perform a forum search as you may find already existing threads with help and advice within.

I did like 3 times nothing it's only seems to be on apps like youtube and Instagram and when I am moving a lot I asume it's software

@Jacobnewmarch: Have you noticed if the flashing screen coincides with any actions that you are performing, or any actions that the phone is performing? For instance, if you head to Settings > Accessibility > Advanced settings > Flash notification, is 'Screen flash notification' toggled on?

Probably has got worse today it's happening all the time but not when on video call ore texting but watching a video and the screen doing effects but it's got more aggressive and the bottom of the screen will quickly flash straight wight periodically I have had my phone for 2 and a bit years and its been threw a lot I think I screwed up a connector on the inside
