Hello, i updated my phone today which gave me the One UI 7 and i honestly hate it. Ive been looking at these forums and managed to make it alittle bareable but im still having some personal issue.

  • Is there anyway to change the app icons such as settings and calculator back to how they looked previously. I honestly hate it
  • Anyway to change the animations back to the previous ones.
I really doubt i can undo the update but if i can please let me know.

@Boyko44: Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to access the Quick Panel. Alternatively, access the Quick Panel > Tap the pencil symbol in the top right > Panel settings (top left) > Together. This will revert to the interface found on previous Android version, with 1 swipe to access the Notification panel/limited Quick panel, and 2 swipes to expand the Quick Panel.

I don't know which phone you have but I did it on my A54 5g. Swipe down from top right of screen & then tap on the pencil icon on the right. Tap panel settings in top left corner. Change settings from separate to together. Tap done to save. If you have a different phone try googling & see if it's any different.

No, your assumption is wrong.

Autistic people, of all ages, in particular will likely hate unneeded and unwanted changes to icons.

Perhaps try just looking at what people say instead of assuming, you will make fewer public errors

Mine is using about 10% more power per hour when just sitting doing nothing from my data reports.... not great. Hate the new icons too

I gave a very general statement, and in no way was I trying to offend anyone, and I apologise if you took it in the wrong way.
All I was trying to say, is that there must be a target demographic for Samsung's changes, otherwise, those changes would not have been made.

I used the old and young as an example of a factor that may be affected by Samsungs changes, I would also prefer if there was an option to opt in to the design changes you want, without a fresh new look and features that you have to familiaries yourself whilst trying to get on with your day to day life.

I apologise again for not being clear enough that I had brought that only as an example.

Battery always drains faster after an update as the apps and battery optimise after the update.

Read the comments there to better understand what it does.

Samsung didn't explain clearly enough how the new swipe down works, but luckily they let you change it back (unlike some things).
If you swipe down from the top right, you get the quick settings, and swiping down from the top left gives you notifications. You can also swipe between the two.
But if you prefer the old way, you can still use that too (until Samsung decides to change that 😂).
