Hi, I am having an immense issue on my phone, which also many other people are encountering I saw online as well. I keep getting a non-stop silent notification which says USB Connector Connected / Disconnected. I have a A51 phone and since 3 days this is going on.
I saw many other people encountered this issue. I have tried many of the proposed solutions but in vain. Here is a list of things I did to tackle it:
-Discharge my phone battery to 0% then full charge to 100% with my original battery charger and TYPE C cable.
-Cleared cache and date of USB Settings
-Cleared cache of Android System
-Boot in safe mode and cleared cache of USB settings
-Master reset
-Wiped cache partition in recovery mode
-Downgraded to previous firmware
-Cleaned USB port with a plastic toothpick
-Put the phone 20 hours in rice and even used hair dryer
-Enabled developer mode and change USB default connection to phone charging only
I tried all these but in vain. The issue still persists. I have heard that even after changing the USB port, the problem comes back later. So, it is not a hardware issue then!
Please help...

Having the same issue. Phone no longer under warranty, but less than 2 years old. AT&T tech support says to bring it to a store, store says they don't fix--want to sell me new phone. HELP! The battery drains quickly with the USB Connector Connected/Disconnected flashing in the background constantly.

Did you find a solution?

I have a galaxy tab 6 lite. This is what worked for me:
Factory reset.
Gave the socket a squirt of electrical contact cleaner. Attached/detached plug several times (disconnected from power supply of course) another squirt of contact cleaner to blow out any gunk.
Use minimum amount of contact cleaner. I was to generous and the screen went funny but it dried out after a couple of hours.
I don't have any more problems. Except.....
Plugging into my laptop via usb A doesn't work. I have to use an adapter to usb C

There really doesn't seem to be one sadly.
My Tab S6 is now in the drawer and I had to purchase a new one (cheaper but it will do) from a different brand . It really fkn sux as I loved that Tab 😢

Yeah that sounds a little too dodgy for me to attempt. Contact cleaner I haven't a clue what that is lol .I did cllean around the USB port with a flash light tooth pick and tiny brush. Not a speck if dust in there at all and it didn't do a thing for me.
I used to have to keep it on charge above 60 or suddenly it would plummet to zero even without apps running. Even when the tab was powered off it would drain!
A few days later trying to charge it, the port got so hot SO fast it was -no joke- a fire hazard. Lightly burnt my fingers after only 30 SECONDS of the USB C charger connected. I had to pull the charger cable out by its cord it only heated to burning in the charging spot. That's when I just gave up.
Can't believe Samsung haven't weighed in in this matter as it seems to be a huge issues over a number of their products..
I applaud your Ingenuity though @Werd1

None of the fixes anyone has suggested in this thread worked for me. I have an s10 that is about 3 years old now and started doing this about a month ago. Almost gave up and got a new phone, but eventually I noticed that if I had my phone plugged in charging, the USB connected/disconnected notifications would eventually stop and my phone wouldn't keep lighting up. I decided to try getting a cheap battery backup case, just a cheap $10 Mophie case off of amazon since technically the phone would always be plugged in.. So far I've had the case for about 3 weeks and am no longer having this issue very often at all. Every now and then it pops up, but doesn't seem to cause my phone to continuously light up like it did before. Even when I have the case off, it rarely does it anymore. Just sits with a black screen and no notifications like it should.
So this may not actually SOLVE the issue, but hey.. My phone is working like it should and I get extra battery life due to the case. I consider this a viable solution for others.
