Hi, I am having an immense issue on my phone, which also many other people are encountering I saw online as well. I keep getting a non-stop silent notification which says USB Connector Connected / Disconnected. I have a A51 phone and since 3 days this is going on.

I saw many other people encountered this issue. I have tried many of the proposed solutions but in vain. Here is a list of things I did to tackle it:

-Discharge my phone battery to 0% then full charge to 100% with my original battery charger and TYPE C cable.
-Cleared cache and date of USB Settings
-Cleared cache of Android System
-Boot in safe mode and cleared cache of USB settings
-Master reset
-Wiped cache partition in recovery mode
-Downgraded to previous firmware
-Cleaned USB port with a plastic toothpick
-Put the phone 20 hours in rice and even used hair dryer
-Enabled developer mode and change USB default connection to phone charging only

I tried all these but in vain. The issue still persists. I have heard that even after changing the USB port, the problem comes back later. So, it is not a hardware issue then!

Please help...

No. It's definitely not overheating for everyone. In fact, the tablet only overheats now because I need to keep the ***** thing plugged in if I try to use more than one app at once because otherwise, battery drain. Weirder still, if the tablet goes idle it drains even faster. Explain that by overheating with the constant usb disconnect reconnect icon flashing up. Seems to me that the tablet thinks the power is constantly being taken away and repowered a second later thus never actually charging unless the charging cable IS physically and presently in the tablet!!!

I just had the same problem on my Galaxy A70 and solved it.

This is how you fix it:

- Go to settings and navigate to "About Phone" -> "Software info"

- Tap the "Buildnumber" 7 times to activate Developer mode

- Now there's a new tab in settings called "Developer options"

- Go there and activate "USB debugging"

- Restart your phone and it's probably fixed.

Apparently Samsung doesn't wanna help and keeps blaiming it on the customers, but the fix is very easy.

@GalaxyErik

This might work (although judging by past commenters through the thread, I doubt it) but it's not a fix, therefore not easy.

I'm wondering is anyone here using a Samsung Tab S6 or similar and having this problem ?

This started for me out of nowhere, yet I haven't seen one post from a tablet user on this entire forum who is having this problem.

Right now my Samsung Tab S6 is unusable because the  cable has to be in for the battery to charge and the tablet not to discharge battery to fast BUT now the newest issue is the cable itself is heating to burning point after 30nsedonds connected so the power is going into the tablet but most of it is getting stuck in the end of the charger cable and at that only certain charger cables and plugs will work and not a thing I've been given advice to try on here has worked!

I wish this wasn't the case because I LOVED my S6 tablet. It was the best one I ever owned before all of this ***** started.

I am back using my Samsung Tab A T590 and it's slower but ar least it works 🙄😒😔

I have a galaxy tab S6 lite P610.

The problem started when I plugged a usb cable into the tablet and my Dell laptop. (USB type C to USB type C)

I have done the usb debugging on/off and cleaned the usb socket with no success.

The start of the problem is different to others. I'm wondering if it's a hardware issue, not dirty pins or water ingress.

This problem is so weird. I believe it's not just caused by samsung products. I have an ulefone, some random japanese brand or something, but i got the same problem a few days ago, so its probably caused by android, since mine runs on that too.

I haven't tried all options yet, I will try cleaning the port and trying another cable and charger later, but for now the usb debugging hasn't worked for me.

My battery isn't really draining super fast, maybe a bit faster than it used to and my phone can get locked like normal, but for me its the stupid notification and the fact i cant charge my phone without turning it off. Once it's charging i can turn it on and it's fine until i unplug my charger and i get the notification again.

Wish there was just an easy fix for this...

Interesting mine seemed to also coincided with switching to Cto C cable and plug.

Either way something seriously screwed it up because my much loved Samsung TB S6 doesn't even turn on now and as I mentioned, before that was discharging the battery even when powered on and using a range of cables never helped only made the port too dangerous (catch fire danger)

I went out and bought the Lenovo P11 Plus, 128gb 6gb ram. .  during their recent sale and for 3/400 quid less than the S6 price was second hand as new .Its so far JUST as good especially if you weren't bothered with the S pen and fingerprint security which is lacks in comparison.

Never did find out how Samsung caused this issue and more disgusted by how this issue was never given attention to customers, dozens and dozens of whom have documenterd the issue over other platforms as well as Samsung themselves.

So bye Samsung, the few years fling from Samsung Tab A 2018 to Samsung Tab 6 2029. Fingers crossee this Lenovo does me the good length my last Lenovo did. I hope it stays a while. For some a tablet is such a lifesaver l for someone who spends a lot of their time bedbound due to health, where TV and video and news and book distraction is your life!!

If anyone does find a solution it will probably be too late for my ol's6 and it'd probably now fried to bits port (my Tab A still works perfectly just smaller storage and way slower with 2gb spare ram so I HAD to get a replacement on the S6 level fast )
