Hi. This issue happened with an A53. Upgraded to A54 and it has the same problem.

Before I go on must stress that all the four volumes are up to the top. That we try and reduce them and set to maximum again.  Do not disturb is not enabled. Bluetooth is not enabled, etc.

So, the phone works fine until it starts showing notifications on the screen (locked) but there's no notification sound.

Reboot the phone and it works again for a given period of time (a couple of days maybe). Then starts again.

Are there any chances that Samsung fixes this bug?

Hello and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

There was a thread recently on the forum similar to yours @iampowerslave

Here > https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/other-galaxy-s-series/notifications-s21.

There maybe more via a Forum search that may hold further help.

I think sending feedback via the Samsung Members App too for samsung to analyse is a positive move.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Hi @BandOfBrothers

I can say it's not the same issue, as I do receive notifications on the screen but no sound after a period of time.

Ok @iampowerslave

Are you using a Pre loaded tone or a tone you've downloaded yourself  ?

You could try >

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

A last resort could be to back up and factory reset but then set the phone up as new i.e don't use the back up @iampowerslave

As I mentioned in an earlier reply do send feedback via your Samsung Members App.

Hi @BandOfBrothers

Tried that. Didn't work.

Remember that the notification sound works when restarted.
