No 4G option

I've just bought a new Galaxy A12 and put in my 4g giffgaff SIM card. It seems to only pick up 3g though and in settings, only 3g (2g and lte) are available to select. Any ideas? Supposed to be a 4g phone

By using the 02 network mast Checker take a look at your masts to see if their is a known issue and if 4G is available in your area.

Ask Giffgaff to check your account via their online support site.

Or does this happen everywhere  ?

As a process of elimination can you try your sim card in another phone.

Also reset the network connection via Settings, General Management,  Reset, Reset Network connection.

A Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can take a look at your phone.
