Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing a strange issue with NFC (Google Wallet) payments on my Samsung A56, and I'm hoping someone here might have a solution or similar experience.
After about a month of use, my NFC payment functionality suddenly stopped working overnight without any apparent reason. Regardless of the card I tried to use, POS terminals either didn't detect my phone at all or displayed an "UNKNOWN CARD" error message.
After some troubleshooting, I discovered something peculiar: when I removed my Telekom SIM card from the device, everything started working perfectly again. However, as soon as I reinserted the SIM card, the NFC payment issue reappeared.
Further investigation revealed that I don't even need to physically remove the SIM card. Simply disabling the SIM card in the SIM manager restores NFC payment functionality. But as soon as I re-enable the SIM card, the problem returns.
It seems there's a direct correlation between my Telekom SIM card being active and the NFC payment failing. Has anyone encountered a similar problem, or does anyone have an idea why a SIM card would interfere with NFC payments in this way? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
