I just heard some news related to problems of ONE UI 7 update of S and A series. I'm a student and I recently (last week) purchased a Samsung A35 as its price went down but now I'm afraid whether to upgrade it into ONE UI 7 or not because many people are facing green line issue and motherboard issue in S series. So if I upgrade it into ONE UI 7 and if any problem arises then should company will fix it for free? as my phone is in its warranty period. But the main question is should I upgrade to ONE UI 7?? please suggest me what to do.
Thank you.

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community!

If it's still under warranty, then yes, they will fix it if an update caused the issue. Logically, the update is unlikely to be causing physical issues; it would be pulled immediately. Things aren't always as they seem, but who knows.

In terms of device issues, the minority of users who experience problems will speak up compared to the 99% who have a flawless experience. It just seems like a lot more due to that fact. The biggest issue people have is the design change, which is largely a matter of opinion and mostly due to Google—a characteristic of all Android devices.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

There are literally 10's of millions of devices running android 15 one ui7 and only a very small number have issues like those you've mentioned

I have an S23 Ultra and S25 Ultra both running One UI7 and it is flawless so my advice? Cracking on 😊

Should I delay upgrading it when the update will come?

I know there are millions of users and it is a small number of people's problem but I don't want to get into that problem cuz I purchased it with my pocket money and so for that reason I was a bit afraid

Understandable. But I'm saying that most of the time, the complaints are due to user error, not the update. You seem young, so I can't imagine your ignorance like some who are unwilling to learn and adapt to change.

Ultimately, it's your choice! And again, if, for whatever reason, your device breaks (which it won't), Samsung will fix it under warranty.

You said it's because "user error" so tell me which things I should avoid? BTW is there any problem with gaming I play COD , COC and FC football (formerly known as FIFA) and I've also downloaded some apps for keyboard from samsung's store itself not from any third party app. So if you could suggest me what to do and what not to then it would be a great help! And BTW are you a real person or AI or any mod/bot? (Don't mind if you're a real person)

User error, as in—they get upset that their phone changed slightly and spend more effort complaining than learning the new UI. After you update your phone, it gives you a tutorial, which they promptly skip, and then get upset about the change.

I'll be surprised if an A35 could handle COD, tbh… but if it is working.

Just be mindful when downloading things; make sure they are valid and check online to ensure you are downloading the correct things if downloading from the internet! You're correct—I stick to the Google Play Store and Galaxy Store to be safe.

* It's good to restart your phone now and again to avoid issues.

* Use device care now and again.

* Keep your phone in a case and screen protector.

* Keep all apps up to date within the Galaxy/Google Store.

* For any specific questions, either contact Samsung support or post on here.

* Side note—Download Good Lock to fully customize your device if it's supported.

*spend time learning your device! And be sure to look online for tips

I've only heard of S series phones getting the green line issue. Update it.
